LAST SUNDAY

Fasting to Feast on God

Pastor Francis preached Matthew 6:16-18, where Jesus tells us to fast in secret, seen only by our Father. He defined fasting as going without food for a time for a spiritual purpose, and showed from the passage that God is more satisfying than both the approval we want and the food we need. One day, he said, fasting will give way to feasting.
