**SPOTLIGHT**

## Mexico Home Building

Next month a team goes to build two homes for families in need. All of us can be part of it, whether or not you're going. The list is online now: pots and pans, towels, painting supplies, tools, and Spanish Bibles. Donations are received Sunday September 6 and 13.

**LAST SUNDAY**

## Generous Mercy

In Matthew 5:38-42, Pastor Tim showed us what Jesus meant by turning the other cheek. It isn't weakness or letting evil win; it's letting the mercy of God shape how we respond to the wrongs we suffer and the needs we see. When His mercy has mastered our hearts, we can meet insult and injury with the same generous grace Christ first gave us.

*“Turning the other cheek declares that the mercy of God has mastered my heart more than the vengeful desires of my heart.”*
